Find a Ride

CHAD Transit offers door-to-door, scheduled runs and charter services. Our door-to-door and scheduled run services help those Pictou County residents who require transportation assistance and whose quality of life would be severely diminished without us.

Book a trip with our door-to-door service and one of our friendly drivers will arrive at your front door ready to take you to where you need to go. To ensure we can successfully book your trip please contact us by 12:00pm the day before you need our service.

Scheduled Runs

We offer a charter service for groups. When booking charter service, please give us as much notice as possible to arrange the charter trip.  Charter trips can go anywhere in Nova Scotia.

Our door-to-door service area encompasses the entirety of Pictou County. If you need to go outside our regular service area please let our dispatcher know at time of booking. When booking door-to-door service please call the day before by noon to book a drive.  Monday drives need to be booked by Friday at noon.  Our schedules are very busy, the more notice you give us, the better the chance you preferred time and day will be available.

“CHAD Bus is a marvellous service with very polite and courteous drivers who will even help carry groceries into my house. The dispatch does everything possible to fit me into their busy schedule. The buses are always clean and feel very safe to drive in. I would be housebound without CHAD.” – Jean, Trenton

“Since there is no public transportation in Pictou County I rely heavily on CHAD Transit for all my hospital and medical appointments. Without CHAD Transit, I could not afford to make it to these appointments that are critical to my ongoing health. – Jim, Pictou

“Having the ability to get back and forth to dialysis in Pictou three times a week is a godsend to my family. It allows other members of my family the freedom to look after their other responsibilities. The drivers are always very prompt, help open doors and are very friendly. The fare is more than reasonable and very much appreciated.” – Jim, Westville
